Chit chat Tailem Bend '18
The debut of this new circuit is exciting for the sport, great for Australian motorsport. Will the new bitumen be high grip or low? Which team will get the jump on the opposition?
The new track may through a few curve balls, but the cream typically rises to the top. Running the hard tyre this weekend will provide another challenge, with drivers suggesting the hard tyres will negatively affect passing opportunities. Keep an eye on the wildcards from Macauley Jones and Kurt Kostecki. From practice, it appears the BJR cars have hit the ground running, but there is a big time difference from practice 1 to practice 2 as the track grips up. Equally, hard to gauge tyre stock.

The track and the facilities looked great all weekend. The incredibly smooth track barely affected the tyres, such little degradation is rarely seen.
The Red Bulls were dominant in the races, they should have had a 1-2 in both races. McLaughlin didn't have the speed to match, particularly on Sunday. The championship is set-up for a red hot finish. Here comes the enduros.

Absolutely fantastic facility - how lucky are we South Aussies to have this
This world-class track is certainly showing its ability to host many different classes of racing. As time goes on it will only get better. If you didn't go, try and get there next season - you won't be disappointed!
XR8...oh yeah!
