Chit Chat Bathurst '18
The best week of the year is here. Those lucky enough to have Fox should be loving the Bathurst channel at the moment.
Following the 888 domination of Sandown, will the hard tyres at Bathurst bring them back to the field? Can Penske or Erebus match 888 on the mountain? Plenty of live coverage across the weekend on Ten, with Fox showing the race ad free. Weather forecast is for a very wet Thursday, some more rain on Friday before a mostly dry weekend. Likely make it hard for teams to find a set-up for the race. What are you expecting come are day?

Davison has topped a wet first practice session. Erebus decided not to send out their cars, not worth the risk given the conditions.

Great performance from both Erebus cars in the shootout. Reynolds and McLaughlin should take it right up to the 888 cars in the race.
Courtney is driving his car very hard to generate speed, vulnerable to breaking something given how hard he is pushing. Percat is a great chance of another Bathurst podium, good speed, great strategy and a good co-driver.

Lowndes & Richards claim the big one!
Reynolds and Youlden had the quickest car, but Reynolds was exhausted. Maybe too much media and other commitments in the lead up, certainly not enough sleep in the past week it appears. Pye & Luff were good without being spectacular. They highlighted what a good car, good strategy and a clean run can achieve. McLaughlin was similar to Mostert and van Gis behind him. All were there about, all had little issues, all didn't have the ultimate speed Lowndes had. T8 have received a $5K fine for not fitting the tyre correctly to car #1, that simple a problem. Great performance from young drivers Golding, De Pasquale and Brown across the weekend. Golding matched Tander for most of the weekend, impressive to see both GRM cars in the top-10. De Pasquale and Brown showed great speed across the weekend, a shame De Pasquale clipped the wall late.
