Several surprises in the 2019 calendar, starting with the omission of SMP. Sandown moving to early November, meaning no enduro 'warm up' for Bathurst.

The idea of moving towards a summer based series from 2020 is an idea I don't like. But it appears a near certainty. The search for 'clear air' is an aberration, it doesn't exist. Running second to the football codes has no shame. The football codes can still dominate headlines in summer, along with cricket - particularly with the growing length of the Big Bash season.

Going back-to-back for Tassie and PI makes sense, as long as there is no carnage at Symmons Plains like 2017. Adoption of more 2-day meetings for some events should have no impact on the spectacle.
