Chit chat Pukekohe '18
Over the ditch, twin 200km races for the weekend. With the championship red hot, all eyes will be focused on the battle between van Gis and McLaughlin.
How Winterbottom performs this weekend my get tongues waving, given he has given notice that he will change teams for 2019. The 200km races are well suited at Pukekohe, should be a good weekends racing.

![]() ![]() What a joke, van Giz gets off a penalty because he was deemed to have "not rotated his tyres" before being let down at the last pit stop. What utter BULL,the rules also state "for the sake of clarity.the wheels must not be rotating while the car is being lowered to the ground" and THAT is CAMS rule 11.8.8.1 and the one above it 11.8.8 also states that "during any pit stop, from the time the car leaves the ground until it returns to the ground,it is not permitted to have the clutch engaged so as to cause the rear wheels to rotate unless prior approval is given by the S &TD" So,the stewards are breaking the rules every which way, possibly just because it is Red Bull.I hope Penske's appeal is successful.

Sadly our sport loses credibility every time a special interpretation of the rules take place. If it's there in black and white they must abide by the rule book as they leave themselves open to accusations of bias otherwise.By fining Whincup after race 2 they made themselves look like they were saying "see we treat 888 the same as everyone else".Once again great racing is being forgotten while everyone discusses the decisions made.
